I used to do a blog called “Fit for Dragon*Con“. It was a “fitness for geeks” blog at first, but slowly devolved into nonsense about old Christmas specials and other lame stuff that I am interested in.
In order to reflect this change, I felt it was necessary to start fresh with a new blog.
Hence, “Bayou Babylon”. A name that, I feel, doesn’t hold me to anything specific. In other words, I have no interest in fitness or Dragon*Con anymore.
The name is both a reference to the Kenneth Anger book “Hollywood Babylon” and to the region I live in: the Gulf Coast, which I love from Galveston to Pensacola. And to the Misfits song, of course.
